8 years ago, Kjartan, Noona’s founder, was approached by the owner of a hair salon that faced a big problem: No shows. Kjartan went on to solve that problem by creating our first product: Tímatal.
After a couple of years of working in Tímatal as a side project, Kjartan recruited me (Jón Hilmar) to join him full time after our first year in college together.
Before we knew it, we had bootstrapped our business to 6 full time employees, 250 paying customers (only in Iceland) and tens of thousands of users of our marketplace, Noona. Our success got us onto SaltPay's radar, and in January of 21' they invested 1.2m € into the business to bring our products abroad.
Since then, a lot has happened. We’ve raised another round of financing, entered the Czech Republic, started growing globally through digital marketing and so much more.
